ATTICS International Attendance Policy

These policies are developed exclusively for ATTICS International. Any copying, sharing, or reuse without written consent is not permitted.

Purpose

ATTICS International is committed to ensuring that all learners receive the full benefit of training and educational programs delivered under its authority.

The purpose of this policy is to define attendance requirements, monitoring procedures, and actions to be taken in cases of poor attendance, ensuring fairness, consistency, and academic integrity.

Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All students and trainees enrolled in ATTICS International training programs
  • Learners attending courses through approved centres
  • Online and blended learning participants
  • Candidates preparing for examinations or assessments

Policy Statement

ATTICS International requires learners to:

  • Attend scheduled training sessions regularly
  • Participate actively in learning activities
  • Meet minimum attendance thresholds to qualify for assessment or certification

Attendance records are maintained to support quality assurance and accreditation requirements.

Attendance Requirements

  • Learners must attend at least 80% of scheduled training sessions unless otherwise specified by the program.
  • For online courses, active participation and completion of required activities count as attendance.
  • Failure to meet minimum attendance may result in ineligibility for examination or assessment.

Recording Attendance

  • Trainers or approved centre staff record attendance at each session.
  • Online learning platforms track logins and participation.
  • Attendance records are reported to ATTICS International periodically.

Absence Reporting

Learners must:

  • Inform the training centre or ATTICS International in advance if unable to attend.
  • Provide valid reasons for absence (e.g., illness, emergency).

Supporting evidence may be requested.

Actions for Poor Attendance

If a learner fails to meet attendance requirements:

  • Learner receives a warning or notification.
  • Support or guidance is offered to improve attendance.
  • Continued poor attendance may result in:
  • Suspension from the course
  • Ineligibility for examination
  • Withdrawal from the program

Exceptional Circumstances

ATTICS International may consider exceptional circumstances such as:

  • Medical emergencies
  • Family emergencies
  • Other serious unforeseen events

Evidence may be required.

Appeals

Learners may appeal attendance-related decisions through the Enquiries and Appeals Policy for Learners.

Records and Data Protection

Attendance records are:

  • Stored securely
  • Retained under the Document Retention Policy
  • Managed in line with Data Protection (GDPR-aligned) requirements

  • ISO/IEC 17024 – Certification eligibility controls
  • ISO 21001:2025 – Learner engagement and educational governance
