Purpose
ATTICS International recognizes that the competence, motivation, and continuous professional growth of its personnel are essential to delivering high-quality, credible, and internationally recognized services.
The purpose of this policy and procedure is to establish a structured framework for staff development, training, competence maintenance, and career progression, ensuring all personnel remain capable, informed, and aligned with organizational objectives and international standards.
Scope
This policy applies to:
Permanent and contract employees
Consultants and external experts
Auditors, trainers, assessors, and invigilators
Inspectors and laboratory personnel
Administrative and support staff
Approved centre personnel delivering ATTICS International services

Identification of Development Needs
Staff development needs are identified through:
Job role and competence requirements
Performance appraisals
Internal audit and IQA findings
Client and learner feedback
Changes in standards or regulations
Introduction of new services or technologies
Development Methods
Staff development may include:
Induction and onboarding training
Internal technical training
External professional courses
Workshops and seminars
On-the-job coaching and mentoring

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Professional and technical staff are required to:
Participate in relevant CPD activities annually
Maintain personal CPD records
Stay updated on sector developments
Demonstrate continued competence when reviewed
CPD participation is monitored by the Quality / HR Manager.

Staff performance and development progress are reviewed through:
Annual performance appraisals
Competence evaluations
Observation of work activities
Internal audit feedback
Training effectiveness assessments
Where gaps are identified, further training is arranged.
