ATTICS International Health and Safety Policy (Including Risk Assessment)

These policies are developed exclusively for ATTICS International. Any copying, sharing, or reuse without written consent is not permitted.

Purpose

ATTICS International is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and secure environment for all employees, clients, learners, visitors, partners, and stakeholders.

The purpose of this policy is to establish a structured framework for managing occupational health and safety risks, preventing accidents, protecting wellbeing, and ensuring safe delivery of all ATTICS International services — including Auditing, Training, Testing, Inspection, Calibration, Certification, and Educational activities.

Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All ATTICS International employees and management
  • Trainers, auditors, inspectors, assessors, and laboratory personnel
  • Students, trainees, examination candidates
  • Contractors, visitors, and partner organizations
  • Approved centres and external service locations

It covers all environments including:

  • Offices and training facilities
  • Examination and assessment centres
  • Laboratories and testing facilities
  • Inspection and client sites
  • Online and remote service environments

Policy Statement

Risk Assessment Process

ATTICS International adopts a systematic approach to risk assessment:

Hazard Identification

Identify potential hazards in offices, training rooms, laboratories, inspection sites, and during travel or field activities.

Risk Evaluation

Assess likelihood and severity of harm.

Risk Control

Implement control measures following the hierarchy of controls:

  • Administrative controls
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Monitoring and Review

Risk assessments are reviewed regularly or when changes occur in operations.

Dynamic Risk Assessment Requirement

Personnel conducting field audits, site inspections, or laboratory work must complete dynamic risk assessments for each specific location or activity, documenting identified hazards and control measures before commencing work, with templates provided for common scenarios.

ATTICS International maintains:

Business Continuity Integration

Emergency response procedures are integrated with business continuity planning to ensure service recovery following significant incidents, with defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) for critical services and alternative delivery mechanisms identified in advance.

This policy establishes a health and safety management system aligned with ISO 45001:2018 requirements, integrating with ISO 9001:2015 quality management and ISO 21001:2025 educational environment safety, with specific reference to hazard identification (clause 6.1.2), operational planning (clause 8), and performance evaluation (clause 9) requirements.
