ATTICS International Instructions from IQA to Assessors

These policies are developed exclusively for ATTICS International. Any copying, sharing, or reuse without written consent is not permitted.

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to provide clear instructions and guidance from the Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to all Assessors engaged in delivering assessment, examination, and competency evaluation services for ATTICS International.

These instructions ensure assessments are conducted consistently, fairly, impartially, and in compliance with international quality and conformity assessment requirements.

Organizational Quality Commitment

ATTICS International is an ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 17024:2012, and ISO 21001:2025 Certified and Compliant Organization, and an Organizational Member of ASTM International (Membership No. 2515539).

Accordingly, all assessment activities must reflect international standards of:

  • Quality management
  • Conformity assessment integrity
  • Educational management excellence
  • Professional and ethical practice

Scope

These instructions apply to all Assessors involved in:

  • Learner competency assessments
  • Practical and workplace evaluations
  • Written and online examinations
  • Certification and qualification assessments
  • Any assessment activity delivered under ATTICS International programs

Role of the Assessor

Assessors are responsible for:

  • Conducting assessments in accordance with approved assessment plans
  • Applying assessment criteria objectively and consistently
  • Ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for all learners
  • Maintaining confidentiality of learner information and results
  • Recording assessment evidence accurately and completely

Assessment Planning

Assessors shall:

  • Review assessment requirements and criteria before delivery
  • Ensure assessment tools and materials are approved and current
  • Confirm learner eligibility and identity before assessment
  • Prepare suitable environments for fair and safe assessment

Conduct of Assessment

During assessment, Assessors must:

  • Follow approved assessment methods and marking schemes
  • Avoid coaching or influencing learner performance
  • Observe professional and ethical conduct at all times
  • Ensure no discrimination or bias occurs
  • Maintain examination and assessment security

Evidence Collection & Recording

Assessors shall:

  • Collect sufficient, valid, authentic, and current evidence
  • Record assessment decisions clearly and accurately
  • Maintain traceability of evidence to learning outcomes
  • Submit completed assessment records to IQA as required

Impartiality & Conflict of Interest

Assessors must:

  • Declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest
  • Not assess learners where personal, financial, or professional conflicts exist
  • Sign impartiality and confidentiality declarations
  • Report any undue influence immediately to IQA or management

Reasonable Adjustment & Special Consideration

Assessors shall:

  • Implement approved reasonable adjustments for learners with special needs
  • Apply special consideration only as authorized by IQA
  • Ensure adjustments do not compromise assessment integrity

Assessment Feedback

Assessors must:

  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to learners
  • Explain assessment decisions transparently
  • Inform learners of appeal procedures where applicable

Handling of Complaints & Appeals

Assessors shall:

  • Cooperate fully with complaint or appeal investigations
  • Provide assessment records and evidence when requested by IQA
  • Not influence appeal or complaint decisions

Quality Assurance & Monitoring

Assessors must:

  • Participate in IQA monitoring activities
  • Allow observation of assessments when requested
  • Implement corrective actions identified by IQA
  • Attend standardization and assessor development sessions

Health & Safety

Assessors shall:

  • Follow ATTICS International HSE procedures
  • Ensure safe assessment environments
  • Report hazards or incidents immediately

Confidentiality & Data Protection

Assessors must:

  • Protect learner data and assessment materials
  • Not disclose results or personal information to unauthorized persons
  • Store records securely

Non-Compliance

Failure to follow these instructions may result in:

  • Suspension from assessment duties
  • Retraining requirements
  • Contract termination
  • Further disciplinary action where applicable

Review & Continuous Improvement

Assessors are encouraged to:

  • Provide feedback to IQA on assessment processes
  • Participate in improvement initiatives
  • Support continuous enhancement of assessment quality
