ATTICS International Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Policy

These policies are developed exclusively for ATTICS International. Any copying, sharing, or reuse without written consent is not permitted.

Purpose

ATTICS International recognizes the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in education, professional services, and business operations.

The purpose of this policy is to establish principles and guidelines for the ethical, responsible, transparent, and secure use of AI tools, ensuring that AI enhances productivity and learning without compromising academic integrity, data protection, or certification credibility.

Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Learners and examination candidates
  • Trainers, assessors, and invigilators
  • Auditors, inspectors, and laboratory personnel
  • Employees and consultants
  • Approved centres and partners

It covers AI use in:

  • Learning and teaching activities
  • Assignment and project preparation
  • Examination and assessment processes
  • Administrative and reporting functions
  • Audit, inspection, and technical documentation
  • Customer service and communication tools

Policy Statement

ATTICS International shall:

  • Encourage responsible and ethical use of AI
  • Prohibit AI use that undermines academic or certification integrity
  • Protect personal and confidential data when using AI tools
  • Promote transparency in AI-assisted work
  • Monitor AI-related risks and misuse
  • Update this policy as AI technologies evolve

Acceptable Use of AI

AI tools may be used to:

  • Support research and learning
  • Generate drafts or ideas for assignments (with proper acknowledgment)
  • Improve language clarity and formatting
  • Assist administrative and reporting tasks
  • Support data analysis under supervision

Use must always ensure:

  • Human oversight and responsibility
  • Accuracy verification
  • Compliance with confidentiality requirements

Unacceptable Use of AI

AI tools must not be used to:

  • Generate complete assignments or examination answers submitted as original work
  • Access or attempt to bypass examination security
  • Fabricate data, results, or evidence
  • Generate or alter certification, audit, or inspection reports without review
  • Process confidential client or learner data in unauthorized AI platforms
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as personal expertise

Disclosure Requirement

Where AI tools are used to support learning, assignments, or professional documentation, users must:

  • Declare AI usage where required
  • Remain accountable for final content
  • Ensure originality and compliance with plagiarism rules

AI Use in Examinations and Assessments

  • AI tools are strictly prohibited during examinations unless explicitly authorized
  • Unauthorized AI use in assessments is treated as cheating or malpractice

Data Protection and Confidentiality

Users must:

  • Not upload sensitive, confidential, or personal data to public AI platforms
  • Follow ATTICS International’s Data Protection Policy
  • Use only approved AI tools for internal operations

Monitoring and Enforcement

Suspected misuse of AI is investigated under:
